A simple space and sense of place are defined by the eclecticism of objects accumulated through worldly travels.
A bookcase, parquet floor, and washed wood walls create a simple and pure atmosphere. A Morlent painting (by Gilles Saint-Gilles’ painting teacher), a chest of drawers from Carcassonne, and a collection of blue porcelains from Holland, China, and Japan make up this composition.
An ornate chair is covered in 1930s silk velour cloth. Leather from Cordoba forms a traditional screen against the washed wood and parquet. A preciously designed and sculpted nymph in terracotta by Jean Paul Gourdon rests within a chapel cabinet made of rare wood.
